Each day you are actually given the choice to shift a pattern if you so choose. If it does not serve you and feels as if it pulls you under the tide, you can bring a hint of awareness towards it, like when a glimpse of sunlight hits the bottom of a well. That little glimpse, that fragment of mindfulness can shift your reality completely. Maybe you reflect one day and see that each day for a long time you have felt angry or distracted. You ask yourself, "Why have I continued to fall into that pattern of thought day after day? Like a record with only one track." Well, now you see it. You now have access to take that repetitive action and transform it into a thought that uplifts and shifts. It can be subtle. Choose to make the conscious effort to shift dark into light, non-serving into self-serving, lack into growth.
